☝A WhatsApp group and a Telegram channel for bilingual kids gatherings and strolls/meetings/picnics in English arranging all over Moscow for free, that’s a full immersion in the natural English environment for our kids outdoors in playgrounds, cafes, playrooms and parks with other angloparents or families with native English speakers for free, or as playdates on an everyday basis all over Moscow.
🗒The group has a table with subway stations where we live at so that to find quickly someone next to your place.
🤳Participants write in the chat that they’re going for a walk at such and such a place / time, and that’s all.
🚕So it works like yandex taxi, but you are looking for a partner for a stroll nearby your place at the exact place, day and time. Also we have big meetups on weekends.
👨👩👧👦It can work both as a free speaking club for parents whose level of English is high enough to speak only English spontaneously with other adults and kids, and as free events for kids to find English speaking friends, where we would play with and entertain our kids on our own.
⚽🛝Or kids just play nearby and parents talk to each other about adult topics but in the presence of our kids, so let them know there is a lot of adults using English just as a tool to communicate to each other in our everyday life in the same way as we use Russian. So bring yourself to practice real-life English with other angloparents and native speakers outdoors for free
🇺🇸🇬🇧For expat families who lack an English environment outdoors in Moscow while their kids have a shortage of other English speaking kids to make friends, it’s creating of the natural environment.
✈So that’s for those who want their kids to learn the language in a natural way just being in the environment as if you set off on a trip to an English speaking country for a couple of hours where everyone including kids speaks English.
☝And since participants never speak Russian during meetings (at least grown-ups), kids think there are some adults or even kids who don’t understand and don’t speak Russian at all, to motivate them to use more English as well, so as not to answer English questions in Russian and not to protest at speaking English.
